Karachi

History:
     Karachi is the largest and most populous metropolitan city in the world, and is the capital of Pakistani province of Sindh. It is the main seaport and financial center of Pakistan. Karachi is also known as City of Lights mainly due to city's night life, for which it is famous as the city which never sleeps at the time of Pakistan's independence in 1947, Karachi had become a bustling metropolis with slightly under half a million people, and classical and colonial European styled buildings lining the city's thoroughfares. In 1947, Karachi was chosen as the capital of Pakistan In 1958, the capital of Pakistan was moved from Karachi to Islamabad.

Importance:
     Karachi is the 7th largest urban agglomeration in the world, and the second largest in the Muslim world. It is also world's 7th least expensive city to live based on cost of living. It is Pakistan's centre of banking, industry, economic activity and trade and is home to Pakistan's largest corporations, including those involved in textiles, shipping, automotive industry, entertainment, the arts, fashion, advertising, publishing, software development and medical research. The city is a hub of higher education in South Asia and the Muslim world. Karachi is also ranked as a beta world city. It was the capital of Pakistan until Islamabad was constructed as a capital to spread development evenly across the country and to prevent it from being concentrated in Karachi. Karachi is the location of the Port of Karachi and Port Bin Qasim, two of the region's largest and busiest ports. After the independence of Pakistan, the city population increased dramatically when hundreds of thousands of Muslim Muhajirs from India and from other parts of South Asia came to settle in Karachi.

Mazar-E-Quaid:
Mazar-e-Quaid is one of the most impressive landmarks in Karachi which refers to the tomb of the founder of Pakistan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. It is also known as the Quaid-E-Azam's Mausoleum or National Mausoleum. This monument is situated at the heart of the city which was completed in 1960s. The graves of the 'Quaid-e-Millat'Liaqat Ali Khan who was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan and Quaid's sister Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah are located nearby.

Masjid-e-Tooba:
Masjid-e-Tooba is another beautiful & attractive place for the visitors. It is also called the Gol Masjid because it is dome shaped & probably considered as the largest dome shaped mosque in the World . The diameter of the dome is about 236 feet. It is located in Defence society near korangi town

Clifton Beach:
The Clifton Beach is a lovely place for the tourists. It is located in the Arabian Sea & provides amazing scenes which are unforgettable for any person who visit this beach. Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim:
Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim is a lovely & the most amazing place ever in Pakistan. It is the largest park of the Pakistan which covers the area of about 130 acres. The main feature of this glorious park is the accommodation. Near about 300,000 people at a time can comes & enjoy the real flavor of the beauty.

Haleji Lake:
Haleji Lake is an amazing & attractive place to watch & about 52 miles from Karachi. It is indeed a paradise for the bird lovers because thousands of birds migrate from Siberia in winter. That is why near about 222 species of birds like ducks, pigeons, teals, waders & strokes can be found here.
